Where: Watergate Bay (music) and Fistral Beach (surf), Newquay

Boardmasters is Cornwall's big surf and music festival on the north coast, with live music at Watergate Bay and surfing competitions at Fistral Beach in Newquay. The music site is ticketed, but the surf competition, Surf Village and skate ramp at Fistral are free to watch. Around an hour and a quarter from West Kellow Yurts by road, so a full day out or an overnight, but it's the one to plan around if you want festival energy and the Atlantic in the same trip.
