The Falmouth Oyster Festival marks the start of the native oyster dredging season, one of the last in Europe still worked under sail and oar. Expect seafood stalls, Cornish wine and cider, chef demonstrations and live music around Events Square, free to wander by day. Around an hour and ten minutes from West Kellow Yurts by road, and a fine reason to head down to Falmouth in October.
