Fowey Royal Regatta and Carnival Week has run since 1819, filling the harbour town with yacht and gig racing, a carnival procession, fireworks, harbour swims and town events through the third week of August. Fowey itself is one of the prettiest harbours in this part of Cornwall, and the regatta adds music and atmosphere to it. Around 30 to 40 minutes from West Kellow Yurts by road, or via the Bodinnick ferry.
